In this section I will explain the basics on how to create your profile, what you can start with, what's restricted/banned and so forth. I will keep it simple and brief so that it's easy to understand, we want you to be able to make your profile and start rp'ing as quick as possible! I'll start with the basics:
Shinigami
If you choose to start as a Shinigami, you will have a few limitations to make sure gameplay stays balanced. In a non-canon position you will have a MAX starting rank of C-3 however the grading mod may choose to give you a lower rank based on profile quality (keep in mind, the number of techniques or strength of your abilities does not always determine a higher rank). Shinigami have a total of SEVEN masteries. Zanjustsu, Hakuda, Shunpo, Reiatsu, Kidou, Shikai, and Bankai. You may start with a total of THREE novice ranked masteries, and the rest will be practitioner or unskilled. However Shikai may be mastered right off the start. Bankai is locked until at least C-1/C-3. Shikai may have a total of FOUR techniques, if you choose to start with a MASTERED shikai with any less than four you may not add on at a later date. This also means they unable to evolve or change over time.
You may also start with a total of FIVE techniques, whether it be kidou or NOVICE level custom abilities. No more, no less.
Canon Shinigami will have a minimum starting rank of B, ranging anywhere between 5-2. The first division Captain is the only one to start at B-1. Canon Shinigami are allowed to have a mastered Shikai, and if they so desire it, a mastered bankai with a total of four techniques (however, starting with a mastered bankai may make ranking up more difficult). They are also allowed to start with a total of 10 custom abilities or kidou. (Captains are not forced to start with Kidou as it would have been invented after they established the Gotei). However, the Kidou Corps Commander can start with TWENTY kidou and 10 custom techniques.
For masteries, Captain's can begin with three mastered and then spread the rest out however they choose. Kidou corps Commander gets an automatic Master in kidou in addition to their other three, just as 2nd division gets an auto master in shunpo.
Edit: creation mastery is NON-CANON and therefore will not count towards ranking up, however 12th Division members may begin as a practitioner if they so choose, while the commander may be a master.
Canon Lieutenants can start with 7 kidou or custom techniques, and an UNSKILLED bankai mastery if they so choose. They are allowed to start with 2 adept masteries and allowed to spread the rest out how they choose.
Arrancar
Just as the Shinigami have limitations, so do the Arrancar. Non-canon Arrancar will have a MAX starting rank of C-1, due to the nature of their strength they have the ability to start stronger than the Shinigami. Unlike their counterparts, Arrancar have a total of EIGHT masteries, these include: Hierro, Sonido, Pesquisa, Hakuda, Zanjutsu, Cero/Bala, Reiatsu, and Ressurreccion. Arrancar may start off with a total of FOUR novice ranked masteries, and the remaining four can be spread out however you choose. Ress can also be chosen to be mastered right off the start if you so choose. Ress can also have a max of four techniques and no more. Keep in mind that if you choose to start as an Arrancar you are restricted to Adjuchas class, and can never evolve to Vasto Lorde (non-canon). You may start with a total of five techniques.
Cero/Bala, Garganta, Pesquisa, and Hierro are all default techniques and DO NOT count towards your total five.
However, the canon Arrancar holding positions Espada 0-4 are all Vasto Lorde class and have a MINIMUM starting rank of B-3, but cannot go any higher than B-1. Grading mod will determine your rank. Espada range from 0-9 as opposed to 1-10. Canon Arrancar will have a mastered ress. They can start with a total of 10 custom techniques.
For masteries, 0-4 may have FOUR mastered, and the remaining four may be spread out how they please, however 5-9 can only have THREE mastered.
Vizard
Vizard are currently unavailable, this section will be updated upon release.
Hollow
While Arrancar are technically Hollow, they are considered a new stage in the evolution tree so I divided the two. Hollow have less starting ability but have the largest potential for future growth. They hold no canon positions therefore they are limited to the basic starting restrictions. As a Hollow you have a max starting rank of C-3 and can choose between starting evolution stages. These include: Menos, Gillian, Adjuchas. Vasto Lorde are restricted and you must evolve icly. Starting Adjuchas is your quickest route, however doesn't allow for as much IC growth (Writers choice). They also have a max of FIVE masteries as opposed to the Shinigami's 7, and Arrancar's 8. These include: Sonido (Adjuchas only), Hakuda, Cero/Bala, Reiatsu, and Hollow Power.
Like the Arrancar, Cero/Bala, Garganta, and Pesquisa are all default techniques and do not take up any slots.
Your hollow powers constantly evolve as you change states, until it becomes your ress as an Arrancar. You are allowed a total of four. You can have a total of TWO novice abilities and the rest must be lower. However, Hollow Powers CANNOT be mastered as they must evolve.
Spiritual Humans
If you choose to play a human, you're a little more limited as far as travels go, but have the most potential to grow. They are one of the few races who can pretty much learn anything and their abilities are allowed to conflict all they want (ie control differing elements). Now as a human, you have max starting rank of D-1, and can grow no stronger than B-3. Humans have a total of five masteries which include: High-Speed Movement, Hakuda, Reiryoku, Weapons, and Durability. You may start with a total of TWO novice masteries, with the others being distributed how you choose. Humans also have the optional mastery of creations, which allows them to create things, however they may not begin as spiritual and you can start no higher than practitioner.
Humans can also start with a total of five techniques of novice rank.
Currently, spiritual humans do not have any canon ranks as they remain neutral. Most are unaware of the spiritual plane, anyways.
Fullbring
While Fullbring are a new race in the Bleach universe, we know enough about them to allow them to be a playable race. That being said, the Fullbring will have Hakuda, Reiatsu, Durability, Bringers Light, Soul Communication, and Fullbring available for masteries. They have a max starting rank of C-3 and can (currently) only reach a MAX rank of A-4. Like the other races you are allowed 2 novice rank abilities (excluding Fullbring, you can start that at anything) while the rest are distributed evenly. You can also start with a max of 5 Novice rank techniques. Fullbrings are also allowed to start with the optional creation mastery however it does not count towards rank ups, and can only begin as practitioner.
Fullbring do not currently have any canon ranks (read FAQ for further information).
Quincy
Quincy are one of the largest populations in the human realm right now, in terms of those in tune with the spiritual side of things. They have been around for many years, however the Wandenreich have only begun popping up with a new display of powers. I will briefly touch on each class (Wandenreich, and regular Quincy, while they don't differ much in terms of masteries, Wandenreich are slightly different in terms of powers). As Quincy, you have the masteries; Hakuda, Ginto, Hirenkyaku, Blut, Reishi, and Archery. Archery is your release equivalent mastery and may begin at any rank besides Mastered if you so choose. Otherwise, like the other races, you may have 2 Novice rank masteries and the rest below. They are also limited to 5 starting Novice techniques and 4 ARCHERY techniques. Quincy have a max starting rank of C-2 and can currently attain A-4 as a max.
Archery is equivalent in power to a Shikai, Ress, and so forth. Essentially I'm putting it on par with the Sternritter's special abilities so that they may combat the other races on equal terms. You must obtain your Sternritter power IC'ly if you do not choose to begin as a canon, and then be recruited into their ranks.
However, if you choose to take a canon Sternritter then you may begin with 1 mastered, 2 adepts, and the rest however you choose, in addition to your unique Sternritter power. You may also start with 10 techniques, a MASTERED Archery, and 4 release techniques.
To become Sternritter ICl'y, you need a minimum rank of B-5.
The King may start with all mastered, 4 techniques, a unique Sternritter ability, and 15 techniques. Keep in mind, however, that as the King, you CAN be killed and replaced by a Sternritter that believes themselves better suited to the position. The Sternritter are known for having loyalty only to themselves and only work together to achieve the same goal. The King has a MINIMUM starting rank of B-2, however the grader will determine your rank based on quality.
Items
Items are completely dependent on your level of creation. If you are a novice you will have difficulty making anything more complex than a basic knife. However the higher it is, the stronger your creation can be, and the better materials you can use. Right now we will allow a non-canon to start with 2 NOVICE level items (that can affect spiritual plane) and as many non-spiritual weapons that you want. These can include things like knives, bats, etc etc. Canons however, may have 4 adept level spiritual items. Everything will be graded before approval so if you're unsure, just ask, or wait for grading and we'll help ya out.
Restrictions
While we don't want to be TOO restrictive on the community, there are some we need to impose so that the balance remain in tact and we don't have anyone running around as gods and unkillable. With that being said...
Zanpakuto: We will not allow conflicting elements, so a release that uses both fire and water is a no-no. However should the two compliment each other then it is perfectly acceptable. Example: Water and ice, fire and lightning, etc etc. You are limited to TWO types so if you do choose water/ice you can not have a third sub type.
We will also allow illusion based Zanpakuto but you can only affect 2 senses. There will be no Aizen level illusions. This means it must have a weakness.
Instant and complete mind control is also a no-no. We will grade any mind control types as a case to case basis but know that you cannot instantly mind control someone, and it cannot be permanent. As soon as your blade is sealed the mind control breaks (unless it has been overcome through other means).
Techniques: Custom techniques cannot be stronger than a Zanpakuto release ability. They must also have a mastery rank put on them, so for instance if it has a Mastery rank on it, then a novice cannot learn it. Only that designated rank.
Bankai: You cannot achieve Bankai until you reach the rank of C-2 and it must be done IC'ly. There will be a bankai trial involving a staff member so when you're ready, please inform a member of the team and we'll get you started!
Other than that, everything will be graded on a case by case, and staff will help as much as possible to get you accepted!
