Submitting something for improvement here on Legacy is actually incredibly easy. There is no complicated steps or process to really go through, however depending on what you're putting up for improvement you may have to include additional details. We'll start with techniques. Before you can learn a new technique you have to go through the TECHNIQUE registration board and have it approved, once you've done that you can go ahead and train it. When you feel that you've done enough and think it's acceptable then you'll come to the improvement board and fill out the appropriate template which will include a link to the accepted technique. If the mod grading your improvement feels that you did enough work then they can accept it and add it into your profile for you, however if they feel you need to add more then they will ask you to do so.
Now if you're submitting a rank improvement the process is slightly different, instead of links to approved techniques, you will actually provide links to training threads. So for example if you've done four training threads and feel you earned a rank, you'll provide links to those threads and the grading staff will read through them. If they feel you have done enough they will grant you the rank and fix it in your profile. Like with techniques, if they feel you need more then they will ask you to do so.
Please keep in mind that you ARE allowed to submit both technique and rank requests in the same thread, you just have to make sure to provide the proper links to threads.
We also prefer QUALITY over QUANTITY. If you type 100 threads and each post only has a paragraph of minimal detail, you aren't as likely to get your improvement accepted. However if you do 2-4 threads with 10 posts average with detail and make it a good read for us, then we'll most likely accept it.
And PLEASE respect the staff's decision. Do not throw a fit if you don't get accepted the first time around. It's trial and error, people.
